Guy E. Louie is a seasoned trial attorney with over 30 years of experience practicing in the Bay Area. He focuses on criminal defense and family law, representing clients across a wide spectrum of cases from misdemeanors to serious felony charges, including second-degree murder.
Mr. Louie is known for his personalized, strategic approach, bringing the same level of dedication, compassion, and intensity to every case. In addition to his legal practice, he has extensive experience advising both startups and multinational corporations, allowing him to deliver practical, results-oriented solutions.
He earned his Juris Doctor, with scholastic merit, from Thomas Jefferson School of Law and is also a sought-after keynote speaker for schools and businesses throughout the Bay Area.
PartnerRoberto C. Jimenez
Roberto C. Jimenez is an experienced trial attorney focusing on criminal defense and family law, with over 16 years of practice in both State and Federal Courts.
He earned his Juris Doctor from UC Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies from UC Santa Cruz. Mr. Jimenez is recognized for aggressively advocating for his clients and achieving significant outcomes, including reduced or dismissed criminal charges and substantial civil settlements.
He serves on the Criminal Court Appointed Attorneys Program (CAAP) panel in Alameda County and has a strong commitment to community service, including work with the Legal Aid Society and Centro Legal de la Raza.

Maxwell R. Louie is a partner focusing on civil litigation and family law. Since joining the firm in 2019, he has represented clients in matters including divorce, custody, support, asset division, and domestic violence cases.
He also advises businesses on legal strategy, contractual disputes, and operational matters. Mr. Louie earned his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego, where he gained experience in complex civil litigation involving shareholder rights.
He is admitted to practice in California State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California.

Adam A. Arant is a criminal defense attorney practicing in the Bay Area. He earned his Juris Doctor from UC Davis School of Law and has experience across civil litigation, labor and employment law, construction law, and estate planning.
He is also actively involved in community service through various charitable organizations.

Jackeline Rivas
Jackeline Rivas is the Director of Operations. As a Certified Paralegal, she is dedicated to supporting the firm’s core practice areas. Since joining the firm in 2024, she has led by example with her organized case management skills and exceptional drafting. Jackeline plays a vital role in assisting the attorneys with efficient, client-centered representation from the initial intake process through final court proceedings.
Jackeline completed her undergraduate degree at the University of California, Santa Cruz, and earned her paralegal certification from Chabot College. She is skilled at managing complex calendaring systems, including the firm’s file management platform, and coordinating critical legal filings with courts and state agencies to ensure strict adherence to deadlines.
Jackeline is known for her meticulous approach to case preparation. Her work includes conducting in-depth legal research into statutes and court opinions, drafting essential pleadings such as complaints and discovery requests, and managing complex correspondence to courts and counsel alike. Whether preparing case files for court proceedings or collaborating with the team to prepare for a trial, Jackeline is committed to maintaining the high standard of excellence that clients expect from the firm.
Evan Arguien
Evan Arguien is a Certified Paralegal who brings a rigorous academic background and extensive practical experience to the firm’s legal team. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies, General, from UC Santa Cruz in 2021, graduating cum laude and participating actively in Phi Alpha Delta. To further refine his legal expertise, Evan completed his Paralegal Certificate at San Francisco State University in 2025.
In his role, Evan plays an integral part in overall case management and client communication. He conducts potential client intake meetings to gather critical case facts, maintains daily follow-ups with clients and staff, and assists in firm calendaring systems, including court hearings, trial dates, and key deadlines in the firm’s data management system.
Evan is also adept in legal research and drafting. He performs in-depth statutory analysis to support case strategy, prepares key legal drafts, responsive declarations, and pleadings, and synthesizes complex case materials into clear summaries for trial preparation and court proceedings. Demonstrating exceptional collaboration and communication, Evan was honored with the 2026 Quarterback Award at the firm-wide ceremony. This award recognizes his standout ability to gather vital information during consultations and seamlessly convey case details to the litigation team to ensure effective case progression.
